Voiceover Workflow - Infographic Text
So you've sent me your script, requirements, and other material. You're ready to record! What happens next?
STEP 1: You fill in the order form and send it to me
Once you've told me you want to get started, I'll send you an order form to fill in. The form includes contact details, billing information, and payment terms. Just fill it in and send it back via email.
STEP 2: If you ordered language editing, I edit your script
I edit your script and send it back to you. If you want to make changes to the script, no problem! Mark your changes (use MS Word "Track Changes", highlight or color them, whatever you like), then send the script back. Once we have a final script, this step is done.
STEP 3: I record a short demo of your script, and you comment on it
Your feedback is important, because I will record the whole project using the same tone and pace as in the demo. So if you want me to read faster, slower, friendlier, more formal, whatever - this is the time to tell me what you want changed, and I'll send you a new demo. Once you have approved the demo, this step is done.
STEP 4: I record and edit the voiceover and send it to you
I record the finalized script in the same tone and pace as in the demo you approved, and I and edit the audio. If required, I also cut the audio into files, time the voiceover to an existing video, etc. The ball is now in your court!
STEP 5: You listen to the voiceover and let me know if you need anything else
If I made a mistake, I'll re-record the relevant parts immediately, at no extra cost. If you decide to make changes to the script, or if you change your mind about the tone, pace or other instructions you gave me, I'll let you know how much the changes will cost and re-record the relevant parts. That's it! The project is done.
STEP 6: You pay according to the terms specified in the order form
READY? OK, SO LET'S GET STARTED!
